Uni Camp for Kids is Perth's oldest registered children's charity, being registered in 1936. In our 75th anniversary year, we continue to achieve our aim of providing camps and picnics for emotionally, socially, and/or financially underprivileged children. The organisation, based at the University of Western Australia, is run and staffed by student volunteers. We run 4 day-long picnics spread evenly throughout the year and in January we run three consecutive week-long camps. These are provided completely free to the children thanks to fundraising efforts of the committee and supporters. Due to the voluntary nature of the organisation, every cent raised goes directly to the kids. We hope that our activities take a proactive step towards improving the lives of these at-risk kids by giving them positive experiences that their various circumstances often deprive them of.
